Rooted in what matters. I had the privilege of photographing Iva and Karim's wedding. Today, they share their life in Zapotal, tending an organic farm and cultivating something beyond the land itself: a way of being in the world. What I loved most about working with them was the beautiful balance between simplicity and depth. The ease with which they move through life, the presence they bring to their connections, and the meaning they find in bonds, rituals, and those moments that connect us to something greater than ourselves. There is a particular kind of beauty in people who don't need much to create something meaningful. People who find value in what is essential, while recognizing the depth that lives within the simplest things. Photographing their wedding meant stepping closer to that way of seeing life. Paying attention to the gestures, the glances, the rituals, and everything that unfolds beyond what first meets the eye. Because in the end, the images that stay with us aren't necessarily the ones that show us what a day looked like, but the ones that remind us how it felt to be there.
